Overview

Christ Explained is a non-profit organization that writes about Christian-based topics and distributes free Bibles across the globe. We were tasked with creating a website that was simple to navigate and “reader-centric”. We designed this website with reading in mind and it is easy to read content whether you are on a desktop or mobile device. Overall this was a very different project and had goals that would be similar to a “web application” rather than a straightforward marketing website.

Challenges

The main goal of this project was to create an environment that would make it easy for visitors to consume written content. Establishing what was necessary and what would have cluttered the website proved to be a bit of a challenge. It is often harder to build something simple than it is to build the same thing in a complex way.

Overview

The Michigan Association of Land Title Agents (MAILTA) is a non-profit entity that protects the rights of consumers, title companies, and realtors. MAILTA contacted us to design and develop a website for their organization after it was recently formed. Educating consumers and acquiring members are MAILTA’s primary goals and we aligned the design and “flow” of the website to reflect this.

Challenges

Although it was a very straightforward project, we tackled a few minor challenges along the way. MAILTA represents both professionals and consumers. Given this fact, we needed to “split” the website and educate both consumers and title professionals. This required careful attention to the User Experience (UX) and “flow” of the website in order to ensure that every visitor receives the information that they are looking for.

Alpine Baptist Church

Features

  • Colorful Friendly Design
  • Multi-Language
  • Easy To Access Information

What We Did

Overview

Alpine Baptist Church needed a new and updated website that would reflect their current mission, provide access to updated resources and that would encourage people to come in and visit. We started with their old website's content as a basis for the new website but completely redesigned the new site from the ground up. This was a small simple project that was a lot of fun and very rewarding.

Challenges

Alpine Baptist Church serves both an English and Spanish speaking audience. We needed to build parts of the website to cater to the Spanish speaking audience. Given the fact that nobody on our team speaks Spanish, organizing different content written in Spanish presented a minor challenge.

Ultra Tech Printing

Features

  • Colorful Photography
  • Easy To Navigate
  • Representation of All Products

What We Did

  • Development

Overview

Joe Morris from Joem Design came to us and needed someone to do much of the development work on a site that he had recently designed for Ultra Tech Printing. Joe did the design and some of the development work and a friend of ours Molly Benningfield, wrote all of the copy. We completed much of the development work on this site and overall the project turned out great.

Challenges

Ultra Tech Printing specializes in printing directly to product packaging. Printing is something that can be viewed as boring and dull, but Joe wanted to make the company look professional yet not dull and boring. Understanding the technology and then trying to convey it in a fun and exciting manner presented a small challenge.

Americas One Title Agency

Features

  • Split Navigation
  • "Tile" Navigation
  • Broad Range of Information

What We Did

Overview

Americas One Title Agency (AOT) is a local title company located in Grand Rapids MI. After using an older website for many years, AOT decided that they needed an upgrade and reached out to us. We collaborated with a designer (Heidi DeWinter) that AOT uses for all of their print promotional material. Heidi designed the website and we constructed it along with adding some of our own touches throughout the project.

Challenges

Americas One Title Agency serves both title professionals, such as real estate agents as well as consumers, such as homeowners. We needed to effectively split the website into two sections to cater to each of these visitors. This presented a minor challenge from a user experience standpoint but after some experimentation we came up with a suitable solution. By clearly dividing the website between consumers and professionals along with providing secondary and tertiary navigation, consumers and professionals can effectively find what they are looking for.

Brad Hammond's Personal Website

Overview

Brad Hammond (our founder and CEO) needed a new personal website constructed. The new website represents various projects Brad is working on, features a blog and has other basic site features. The design of this site was kept simple incorporating the use of white and black.

Challenges

The minimalist design was a challenge to achieve. It is surprisingly difficult to use as little amount of site elements as possible and keep a clean minimalist design throughout the site. Although it presented a challenge, we think it ended up turning out great.
